Brosseau Consulting, LLC, a full-service art advisory and appraisal firm, was founded with the goal of providing professional art services to both beginning and established collectors. Carol Lee Brosseau believes that collecting art is enriching and rewarding and is a uniquely personal endeavor. As such, she tailors her services to each client’s tastes, interests, and goals. Carol Lee offers professional guidance for clients through every aspect of the collecting process from education, acquisition, sales, presentation, collection management and conservation. Carol Lee works with new collectors seeking to build a collection and established collectors looking for a choice piece to add to their collection or sell work privately.

Carol Lee is an accredited member of the Appraisers Association of America and offers appraisal services for fine art photographs spanning the history of the medium and including 19th Century, 20th Century, and Contemporary photographs, as well as archives, negatives, and other image-based artwork, for insurance, charitable donation, and estate tax liability purposes.

Carol Lee received her BA in Art History from Baylor University, focusing on Nineteenth-Century European Art. After graduation, Carol Lee pursued graduate study at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York, focusing on American Fine and Decorative Art. Upon completion of the program, moved into a position as  Studio Manager for contemporary painter, Caio Fonseca in New York. Following a move to Southern California, Carol Lee was Director at Joseph Bellows Gallery for five years and curated over 40 photographic exhibitions. Carol Lee moved to Los Angeles in 2010 and held a position as a specialist at Julien’s Auctions, focusing on photographs, celebrity estates, and entertainment memorabilia. She later opened her firm, Brosseau Consulting, and continues to be committed to guiding and supporting clients through the process of art collecting and to be a trusted source for appraisals.
